Data Deletion Instructions

How to request deletion of your data

This platform is operated by THE GREAT LEARNING TREE PTY LTD (ABN 28 145 031 563). This page explains how to have the data we hold about you, or about a Facebook or Instagram account you connected, deleted.

Step 1 — disconnect the app from your account

Open Facebook Settings, go to Business Integrations, find this app, and select Remove. This immediately stops us publishing to your Page and revokes the access token we hold.

Doing this on its own removes our access. It does not delete the records already stored — for that, do step 2.

Step 2 — ask us to delete the records

Send a deletion request to hello@viyamarketing.com.au. Tell us the account or workspace involved, and the Page or Instagram account if there is one, so we can find the right records.

We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days. If we need more information to identify your records, we will ask for it within that period.

What gets deleted

On a completed deletion request we remove:

  • The stored access token for the connected Page or account
  • The Page identifier, Page name and connection record
  • Content drafted, scheduled or published through the platform for that account, and its stored performance metrics
  • Lead records captured through connected lead forms
  • Account contact details, where the request covers the account itself

What we keep, and why

We retain the record of who approved which content and when, for 7 years. It is the evidence that content published to an account was approved by someone entitled to approve it, and deleting it would remove the proof that protects both sides of that transaction.

We also retain billing and tax records where the law requires us to keep them. Copies in routine backups age out within 90 days of deletion.

Content already published to a Facebook or Instagram Page lives on that Page. Deleting it here does not remove it from the Page — delete it on the Page as well, or ask us to.

If you are not the account holder

If a business used this platform to publish content that concerns you, and you are not the account holder, write to hello@viyamarketing.com.au anyway. We will identify the account it relates to and pass the request on, and we will act on it ourselves where the information is ours to delete.
